Along with the sharp expansion of domestic cotton spindle capacity, the polyester staple fiber, an important material of cotton textiles, became the center of attention again and its price rose as swiftly as cotton, which further attracted intense attention from the whole industry. In December 2003, China Chemical Fiber Website organized 2003 China Hangzhou Polyester Staple Fiber Market & Technology Symposium. In the conference, 300 odd participators thoroughly discussed some issues, for examples, the supply-demand, investment, feedstock supply and production cost in domestic polyester staple fiber sector, cotton and viscose staple fiber market trends and new polyester products development. The conference gained a great success.
