2003 was a splendid year for textile industry, especially for cotton textile industry. However, the cotton textile industry would face tougher environment due to growing trade frictions after post-quota era and sharp fluctuations of domestic cotton price, the reduction of export rebate rate as well as the restrictions of finance, labor force and the other concerning resources.
