Major problems and solutions of recycled cellulose fiber fabric in printing and dyeing


Mr. Ye probes into his report from four aspects.

First. Categories and features of recycled cellulose fiber. Recycled cellulose fibers broadly includes viscose fiber, Tencel, Modal, bamboo fiber, copper ammonia fiber and VILOFT. Though they all belong to recycled cellulose fiber, the printing and dyeing techniques are different due to their own features and the problems during the production process are also different.

Second. Problems in dyeing and printing viscose fabric. General processing of viscose textiles printing and dyeing includes: 1. Inverted suture; 2. Singeing; 3. Desizing & scouring; 4. Dyeing (printing – aging – soaping); 5. Finishing and setting; 6. Preshrinking; 7. Inspecting finished?product.

Third. Problems in dyeing and printing lyocell fabric. Measures to reduce defects like crease, scrape and stains include: (1) Spinning Tencel fiber with fibers with low hydro-expansivity like polyester and nylon and reducing densities of warp and weft to improve the hydro-expansivity of fabric; (2) For grey fabric, barrè, temple marks, reducing creases and heavy filling bars, etc. to avoid partial hardness and damage; (3)Reducing indentation and crease by packaging with rollers rather than ligaturing. (4) Reducing man-made physical stress and friction on grey fabric, finished fabric and apparel to prevent damage, puncture and cut, etc. (5) Adding a little smoothing agent and softening agent to avoid crease and scrape in dyeing and finishing process. (6) Adopting D&F and washing equipment with larger rollers and lower rotating speed to make fabric move freely and reduce the crease and scrape caused by friction and extrusion.

Four. Conclusion. Due to specific requirements during the process of dyeing and finishing of Tencel fibers, experienced and professional production staff should be employed in production and technological management.
