China's retail sales value of consumer goods totaled 3.4911 trillion Yuan in Apr 2023, up 18.4% year on year. In Jan-Apr 2023, the cumulative retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 14.9833 trillion Yuan, up 8.5% year on year.

In April 2023, the retail value of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles above designated size was 105.14 billion yuan, up 32.4% year on year. In Jan-Apr, the cumulative retail sales of apparel, shoes, hats, knitwear and textiles above designated size totaled 465.33 billion yuan, up 13.4% year-on-year.

In April 2023, the retail value of apparel goods above designated size was 76.46 billion yuan, up 39.9% year-on-year. From January to April, the cumulative retail value of apparel was 343.41 billion yuan, up by 16.6% year-on-year.
