2021/22 global cotton production remains uncertain with increasing weather disruption

According to the USDA's five year average from 2016/17 to 2020/21 seasons, the top 5 world cotton producing countries are India, China, the United States, Brazil and Pakistan, accounting for 78% in the total production, and their production proportion is 24%, 23%, 16%, 9% and 6% respectively. Changes in cotton production in these major producing countries directly affect the global cotton supply.
