Nylon fibers include filaments for garment and textile applications, industrial filament for tyre cord, staple fibers, BCF and fish net filament, etc. Nylon 6 (made from caprolactam) and nylon 66 fibers (made from adipic acid and HMDA) can substitute for each other in some applications, while retain distinct properties. In China, textile filament is the largest comsumption filed of nylon 6, while engineering plastic is more dominant in nylon 66 applications.
